Job Summary:

Clairefontaine International School is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated High School Teacher/Director to lead our high school division. This dual role is ideal for a experienced professional who wishes to continue making a significant impact in education. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of the French educational system, proven leadership skills, and a passion for teaching. This Job requires relocation to Abidjan,Côte d'Ivoire and travel cost would be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide strategic and operational leadership for the high school division, ensuring alignment with the French national curriculum and the school’s overall vision.
  • Teaching: Deliver engaging and effective instruction in one or more subjects, inspiring students to achieve academic excellence.
  • Curriculum Management: Oversee the development and implementation of the high school curriculum, ensuring it meets the highest standards of French education.
  • Staff Management: Lead, mentor, and support high school faculty, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
  • Student Development: Guide and support students in their academic and personal growth, preparing them for higher education and future careers.
  • School Administration: Work closely with the school administration to manage budgets, resources, and logistics related to the high school division.
  • Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, students, and the broader school community to enhance the educational experience.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on educational best practices and contribute to the ongoing professional growth of the teaching staff.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Advanced degree in Education or a related field; French Education Certificate or equivalent.
  • Leadership Experience: Over 20 years of progressive leadership roles in education or in other sector, with a proven track record of successfully managing teams and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Teaching and Educational Leadership: Extensive experience within the French educational system, with a deep understanding of its curriculum, policies, and standards. This role is particularly well-suited for a retired professional eager to continue making a meaningful impact in the field of education.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in French is essential; knowledge of English is a plus.
  • Cultural Competence: Ability to work effectively in an international, multicultural environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. A deep commitment to student success and faculty development.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $2,500 per month.
  • Relocation Support: Assistance with logistics from France to Côte d’Ivoire.
