ROLE : 

The Tech Lead collaborates closely with the creative, design and production teams. He or she plays a central role in defining and shaping the project as well as finding innovative ways to tell stories in order to reach high-profile clients’ goals and UNIT9’s standards of creativity, craftsmanship and quality.

A highly motivated team player, Tech Lead has the ability to explain complex technical solutions to clients and fellow team-members in a down-to-earth manner. The role is a hands-on position, which includes the management of the development team from discovery to delivery. He or she leads by example in order to come up with elegant solutions and ensure a consistently high quality of code and of deliverable.

Tech Lead is expected to keep up with and experiment with the latest technologies in order to implement those into experiences that are the first of their kind and help the company deliver consistently beautiful and innovative work.

MAIN TASKS : 

-Research technical options and discuss pros/cons with team

-Project management (estimates, timeframe and team)

-Create prototypes to prove out technical solution

-Scaffolding the project (setting it up for junior devs to jump in)

-Prioritize tasks for developers

-Complex coding on specific projects

-Communicate with Producers, UX, Devs, and QA team

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED :

-Software development experience

-Expert knowledge of the UNITY engine, with a particular emphasis on AR (ARCore and ARKit) or VR for gaming and entertainment

-Knowledge and experience of the Unreal engine, Virtual Production, Machine Learning or hardware development

-Proven track record in the delivery of large-scale interactive experiences.

-Knowledge and experience of Front end: Javascript, three.js 8th wall

-General: creative coding, AR, VR, immersive web experiences

-Clear communication skills – out loud, in writing, and in code.

-Detail-oriented, impeccable craftsmanship

-Commitment to producing a high standard of work

-Strong desire to experiment with new technologies and embrace opportunities to take on new technical challenges.

-Desire to look for opportunities to learn from the team and to share knowledge

-Excellent coding skills

-Strong experience leading teams

-Experience and ability to learn new technologies

-Experience with high-demand, high-availability, and high-security architectures
