In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive bioinformatics product revenue expansion and define sales strategy by developing and managing assigned accounts, researching regional market growth opportunities, prospecting new accounts, and collaborating with peers to identify unmet needs across customer segments

  • Prepare compelling product positioning information that is aligned to the competitive landscape for all sales calls to secure new customers and participate in exhibitions where assigned

  • Build rapport and business acumen with all customers and communicate with cross-functional team members, such as internal sales, customer success, product management, and application scientists on all customer-related business

  • Provide quantitative and qualitative feedback from customers to inform the bioinformatics product development lifecycle

  • Achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction through strategic partnership with key customers while leveraging internal resources, to optimize the positioning of IDT’s bioinformatics products and services to these customers.

  • Build in-depth knowledge of CRM and funnel management tools and apply these skills to consistently forecast business, manage customer opportunities, and make decisions. Schedule sales calls and travel itineraries to address customer needs and capture detailed notes to maintain traceable customer relationship records

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Bioinformatics, Data Analytics, Bioinformatics Engineering, Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry), or relevant field

  • 5+ years of proven track record anexperience in a customer-facing sales role

  • Language proficiency in English

  • Prior experience in the biotech industry, especially in NGS and Bioinformatics and experience owning sales for a large territory OR NGS and Bioinformatics knowledge in clinical research

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Applications experience within bioinformatics, NGS, molecular profiling and an understanding of the IVDR regulatory landscape

  • Language proficiency in French

  • In depth knowledge of SalesForce.com and working knowledge of Power BI
