ServiceNow Tech lead

Location : Full-remote

Type of contract : Freelance (across EU)/ CDI in France

Experience required : 7 years of minimum experience in ServiceNow

Skills required in an ideal candidate:

  • Strong product roadmap awareness
  • Familiarity with FSM or ITAM
  • Proficient in Workspaces, UI Builder, and Flow Designer
  • Experience with third-party tool integrations (scripted APIs and Integration Hub)
  • In-depth knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and core functionalities (CMDB, key applications)
  • Hands-on experience in portal management and customization
  • Expertise in Case, Incident, and Request management, and Service Catalog setup
  • 7 years of hands-on ServiceNow CSM and/or ITSM experience
  • Experience with Agile methodology (SCRUM)
  • Ability to develop and execute testing strategies
  • Proficient in specification writing and technical documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of release management and code versioning best practices
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Excellent command of English
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proactive in identifying issues and proposing solutions
  • Team player willing to support colleagues in challenging situations

Role and Responsibilities:

- Serve as a key tech lead, supporting a team of both junior and senior developers while advising Product Owners (POs) and overseeing technical delivery.

- Maintain a hands-on approach to development, working independently and assisting peers with complex issues to prevent delivery delays.

- Ensure overall quality of the team’s delivery and adherence to best practices.

- Develop enhancements identified during the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase and review existing designs for improvements.

- Review and optimize implementations by other developers to ensure low customization, optimal performance, scalability, and security.

- Deliver implementations for ServiceNow CSM, ITSM, and FSM, which may include:

- Core platform implementations (e.g., case, and incident management)

- Enhancements to the CSM Portal (UI and service catalog)

- Data integration and management (e.g., CSDM)

- Integrations with third-party tools

- Collaborate with the ServiceNow Architect and other tech leads in the design, development, and support of ServiceNow solutions, applying best practices in architecture and development.

- Translate user stories into ServiceNow features while focusing on minimizing customizations.
