One of my clients is seeking an experienced IAM Engineer (SailPoint-focused) for a 12-month freelance mission, with a very high likelihood of extension (3-year programme). This is an excellent opportunity for a senior IAM professional to design, implement, and operate enterprise-scale identity and access management solutions within a modern, global environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain IAM solutions using SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or IdentityNow (Identity Security Cloud).Configure and customize IAM capabilities including identity lifecycle management, access requests, certifications, role models, and policy enforcement.Integrate SailPoint with enterprise applications, cloud platforms, directories, and HR systems, ensuring secure and scalable identity flows.Develop and maintain workflows, rules, connectors, and provisioning logic to support joiner/mover/leaver processes.Support and enhance RBAC and entitlement models, aligning access with business and security requirements.Troubleshoot IAM-related incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure platform stability and compliance.Collaborate closely with security, infrastructure, application, and architecture teams to align IAM solutions with enterprise standards.Contribute to IAM best practices, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.RequirementsStrong hands-on experience as an IAM Engineer working with SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or IdentityNow.Solid understanding of IAM concepts including identity lifecycle, access governance, RBAC, SoD, authentication, and authorization.Experience integrating IAM platforms with on-prem and cloud environments (e.g. AD/Azure AD, LDAP, SaaS applications).Ability to work in large, complex enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders.Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical IAM concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Development or scripting experience (Beanshell, Java, JavaScript) is an advantage but not the sole focus.What’s Offered12-month freelance contract with strong extension potential (long-term programme).Opportunity to work on global, enterprise IAM initiatives using modern identity technologies.Collaborative engineering and security-focused environment.Competitive daily rate based on experience.
