Job Summary
MycoWorks is seeking a PR and Communications Coordinator to join our team in Paris, France. This position will focus on managing relationships with external PR teams, coordinating special projects and events, and acting as a liaison between internal departments. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized individual with a creative mindset, capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. This role will also include administrative responsibilities, such as handling vendor payments and managing event logistics. Success in this position requires a balance of creativity, strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach to day-to-day tasks.
Responsibilities:
Writing

Must be an effective communicator in French and English, with strong writing skills in English.
Press Releases
Award Applications
Interview Preparation (media training, interview briefs)
Website updates & editorials
Regular updating of key documents (FAQ, Press Portal)
Modifying brand language for audiences (short and long form)
Review of any and all outward-facing language

Media Relations & PR

Manage media and partner requests in a timely and professional manner.
Organize, schedule, and prepare key leaders for press interviews.
Draft, brief, and supervise all writing needs including press releases, pitches, case studies, white papers, and media summaries.
Track and analyze media coverage to inform future PR campaigns and strategies.
Oversee PR relationships, handling strategic communications for media outlets and publications.
Collaborate with the Marketing team to fulfill press requests and ensure consistent messaging across platforms.
Measure PR initiatives and provide regular reporting on their effectiveness.

Strategic Planning & Creative Partnerships

Contribute to the global communication plan presentation.
Identify, develop, and coordinate artistic collaborations, institutional partnerships, and special projects, managing relationships with creative partners to ensure alignment with MycoWorks' branding.

Event Planning & Coordination

Plan and staff in-person events such as conferences, speaking engagements, and other public appearances.
Assist the Marketing team with tradeshow and event planning, ensuring MycoWorks and Reishi are positioned according to communication strategies.

Operational & Administrative Support

Manage day-to-day requests from internal and external partners, including coordinating meetings and sharing assets (eg, images, videos, info sheets) with agency partners, event organizers, and press contacts.
Manage administrative tasks, including processing invoices through D365, ensuring timely vendor payments.
Oversee day-to-day logistics like shipping and courier needs for events, press materials, and media kits.

Qualifications:

Graduate of a Business School or University with a Bac +5 level
Have at least 3-5 years of experience as a communications and marketing coordinator, preferably in a creative or artistic field.
Have strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Have excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English. The candidate must be perfectly bilingual.
Be experienced in managing public relations and collaboration with agencies and other external partners.
Having a very good command of IT tools, a good knowledge of Concur and D365 will be a plus.
Dynamic, open-minded person who is comfortable working in a multicultural and dynamic start-up environment.
Have strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate with diverse teams and manage external relationships.
Agility and problem-solving skills suited to a growing business.
Proactivity, rigor, autonomy and organization will be key skills to successfully carry out the missions.
