Overview
**Responsibilities**:
- Design products (equipments and consumables) and improve existing technologies under the Engineering Manager’s responsibility, considering manufacturability, costs, and quality expectations.
- Perform and document the engineering activities (Concepts, Product design or improvements, Calculation Notes, Design activities, prototypes, CE documentation, manuals, failure analysis, corrective actions, obsolescence).
- Perform and lead the components, assemblies, and products CAD design activities (3D models. Drawings).
- Provide and lead technical support and communications to other internal departments (Quality, Production, Purchase, Sales and Comm Ops, Services,), as well as to suppliers, partners and customers.
- Report progresses, difficulties, risks and needs to the Engineering Manager
- Follow the established processes and proactively supports and/or facilitate changes in the department in a continuous improvement logic
- Support internal and external products presentations
- Act to keep the ERP (AX) database up to date, following products Part Numbers creations or updates.
Experience
- Knowledge, skills & abilities required.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
- 3-8 years of engineering experience.
- Proficient skills in 3D modeling, tolerance analysis, GD&T, FEA, DFMEA, manufacturing processes, problem solving tools, and machine design principles.
- Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., DFM/A, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Experience with a PLM system and engineering change processes.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with FEA software (simulation and ANSYS preferred).
- Demonstrated experience with solid modeling software (e.g., Siemens NX, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Intermediate PLM software (e.g. TeamCenter, MasterControl) skills preferred.
- Intermediate MS Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
