Business Development Engineer for Saas Carbon

One Click LCA is the world-leading construction product project Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) software. We are looking for a Business Development Engineer to support France and Benelux regions. You will be responsible for identifying customer needs and opportunities and helping them to find and make use of our best matching solutions. In this role, you will be working with manufacturing, design and construction companies.

It integrates with all the leading design software packages and all environmental databases in the industry and provides over 60 modules for low-carbon design and carbon transparency.

Our innovative carbon accounting and reduction SaaS platform is used in over 140 countries and is growing rapidly. We target construction and manufacturing industries, responsible for nearly half of the global carbon emissions.
**What you’ll do**:
- Liaise with prospective clients to understand how their business needs can be solved and develop quotes for our solutions to bring on board new customers
- Get and stay up to date with the One Click LCA platform inside out, and keep up to date on developments around LCA and EPD standards, PCRs and practices
- Educate prospects on the value and opportunities of LCA tools, EPD and low-carbon construction
- Support increasing our presence in the French region by attending important construction industry events to generate leads
- Utilize various communication channels to create outbound sales opportunities
- Work with the marketing teams to localize campaigns and regional content to generate more demand
**What you need**:
- Minimum 3 years experience in the construction industry, and/or sustainability field
- Customer and results-oriented attitude - experience in B2B sales is a plus
- Degree in engineering, construction, environmental sciences or related area.
- Ability and motivation to become an expert in the construction sector LCA software
- Fast learning skills and desire to improve constantly
- Very good listening skills and ability to see the situation from a prospect’s/client’s perspective
- Customer and results-oriented attitude
- Hands-on attitude and a drive to get things done.
- Full proficiency in French & English.
