**1. AXA IM Alts**
AXA IM Alts is a global leader in alternative investments with over €185 billion of assets under management comprising c.€91 billion of primarily private real estate, over €85 billion of private debt and alternative credit, as well as c.€9 billion in Infrastructure and private equity.
We take a 360° approach to real estate & infrastructure investing with over €132 billion of assets under management in direct opportunities, held indirectly through debt and listed equities and via long term private equity investments into operating platforms. **2. Description of the department**
The Fund Management intern will join the real estate fund management department within AXA IM Alts. The management team, based in Paris, is responsible for discretionary funds and several mandates representing over €20bn of assets under management across Europe.
Through these assignments, the trainee will gain a better understanding of the responsibilities of a real estate fund manager in managing real estate funds to meet investor expectations.
**3. Your role and responsibilities will include**
Day-to-day management:
- Assist the fund managers in the day-to-day management of the funds, including monitoring of real estate portfolio and fund performance, financing and liquidity management.
- Update the fund's cash flow model (Discounted Cash Flow).
- Participate in defining the fund's financial policy (leverage, hedging).
- Prepare presentations (French/English) for investors.
- Analysis of transactions and disposals:
- Participate in the review of transactions in all asset classes (offices, retail, hotels, residential, logistics, etc.) and in Europe.
- Model cash flows using scenario and sensitivity analyses.
- Assist manager on acquisition structure and financing where appropriate.

**Education/Qualifications**
- Top business school, engineering school or university. Specialization in real estate is a plus
- Previous experience(s) in a financial institution or real estate company.
**Knowledge and skills**
- Proven financial analytical skills, fluency in English required, fluency in French a plus.
- Strong interest in the financial and real estate sectors
- Advanced Excel skills (modeling)
