**Missions**:
Le chercheur / la chercheuse jouera un rôle prépondérant dans la maintenance et le développement du trigger de premier niveau de l'expérience LHCb, implémenté dans le framework hétérogène de traitement de données Allen et basé entièrement sur des GPU. Il / elle évaluera les performances du trigger sur les données collectées par LHCb en 2024 et définira une liste de domaines prioritaires à améliorer pour la prise de données de 2025, puis jouera un rôle prépondérant dans le développement, le déploiement et la mise en service de ces améliorations en 2025. On s'attend à ce qu’il / elle effectue régulièrement de courts voyages au CERN pour participer à la prise de données (shifts) et aux activités de commissioning. De plus, il / elle se joindra à l'effort continu du LPNHE pour développer la reconstruction de trajectoires basée sur des réseaux neuronaux graphiques (GNN) pour LHCb, travaillant avec deux doctorants existants et un ingénieur informaticien.

Du côté de la physique, on s'attend à ce que le / la chercheur / chercheuse rejoigne l'un des efforts d'analyse existants du groupe LHCb du LPNHE. Les principales activités du groupe concernent les mesures de précision des angles du triangle CKM, en particulier en utilisant les désintégrations des hadrons beaux en plusieurs particules non-charmées, ainsi que les recherches de processus de désintégration rares et interdits. Le principal objectif du chercheur devrait être l'exploitation des données collectées par LHCb en 2024 et 2025.

- Amélioration des performances pour la prise de données LHCb en 2025 (tâche principale)
- Développement de la reconstruction de trajectoires basée sur GNN pour l’upgrade de LHCb (tâche secondaire)
- Tâches autour de la prise de données - shifts et commissioning (tâche secondaire)

- Analyse de physique avec les données de LHCb de 2024 et 2025 (tâche principale)
- Analyse de physique avec les données de LHCb prises avant 2019 (tâche secondaire)
- Développement de lignes de déclenchement de premier et deuxième niveau pertinentes pour l’analyse de physique choisie (tâche secondaire)

- Co-encadrement de doctorants avec l'un des membres seniors de l'équipe (tâche secondaire)

**Compétences**:
- Doctorat en physique des particules expérimentale obtenu au cours des trois dernières années (avec au plus un postdoc) — Maîtrise de l'anglais
- Expérience en développement logiciel utilisant C++, python et/ou CUDA
- Excellentes compétences en communication verbale et écrite
- Volonté et capacité à développer des logiciels au sein d'une équipe
- Familiarité avec les outils modernes d'intégration continue et de test logiciel est un plus

**Contexte de travail**:
Le LPNHE est une Unité Mixte de Recherche (UMR 7585) de l’Institut National de Physique Nucléaire et de Physique de Particules (IN2P3), institut du CNRS et des universités Sorbonne Université et Université Paris Cité. Il est constitué de 4 équipes thématiques comprenant 15 groupes de recherche, de 3 services techniques (informatique, électronique, mécanique), et de 2 services support (administration, logistique). Le laboratoire est engagé dans plusieurs grands programmes expérimentaux, poursuivis dans le cadre de collaborations internationales auprès de très grandes infrastructures de recherche du monde entier, centres d’accélérateurs de particules et observatoires. Ces programmes couvrent les enjeux actuels de la physique des particules, des astroparticules, et de la cosmologie.

Le groupe LPNHE LHCb est composé de six chercheurs permanents, six doctorants et deux ingénieurs. Il participe avec enthousiasme au développement des détecteurs, à leur mise en service et à l'analyse des données de physiques. En particulier, le groupe a joué un rôle prépondérant dans le développement du système de déclenchement pour l’upgrade de l’expérience LHCb.
