Job Perimeter:

The Enterprise Architect Lead plays a critical role in shaping an organization's IT strategy and aligning technology initiatives with business goals. This position involves overseeing the design and implementation of enterprise-wide technology solutions, ensuring they support current and future business needs.

The Enterprise Architect Lead is responsible for developing the overall technology roadmap and guiding the organization’s technology vision. This role involves leading the design, management, and oversight of the enterprise architecture, ensuring that all IT systems and solutions are aligned with the company’s business strategy. The Enterprise Architect Lead collaborates with various stakeholders, including executives, project managers, developers, and business leaders, to ensure technology investments deliver value, are scalable, secure, and future-proof.

Your main missions & objectives:

1. Strategy and Planning:

  1. Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  2. Lead the creation of technology roadmaps, ensuring they support long-term business plans.
  3. Identify and evaluate emerging technology trends, recommending solutions that enhance business performance.

2. Architecture Design and Development:

  1. Oversee the design and integration of enterprise-level systems, including cloud infrastructure, applications, data platforms, and network architectures.
  2. Ensure consistency in technology and data architecture across different business units and teams.
  3. Drive the development of architectural standards, frameworks, and best practices.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration:

  1. Work closely with business leaders to understand their needs and provide solutions that improve business capabilities.
  2. Collaborate with development teams to ensure that solutions are designed in accordance with architectural standards.
  3. Act as a liaison between the IT department and other business units, ensuring effective communication and alignment.

4. Governance and Risk Management:

  1. Establish architecture governance practices, including the development and maintenance of architecture policies and procedures.
  2. Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., security, data privacy, regulatory requirements).
  3. Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies related to technology architecture and infrastructure.

5. Team Leadership and Mentorship:

  1. Lead and mentor a team of architects and technical staff, providing guidance on best practices and technical decisions.
  2. Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the architecture team, fostering innovation and knowledge sharing.

6. Technology Evaluation and Selection:

  1. Evaluate and select appropriate software, hardware, and technology services that align with the business strategy.
  2. Ensure cost-effective technology investments while optimizing long-term benefits and scalability.
  3. Perform vendor assessments and technology risk analysis for third-party solutions.

7. Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement:

  1. Monitor the performance of enterprise systems and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
  2. Ensure that technology solutions are scalable and adaptable to evolving business needs.
  3. Lead continuous improvement initiatives in system design, integration, and performance optimization.

Essential experiences and skills:

Experience:

  1. 7-10 years of experience in IT architecture, with a focus on enterprise architecture.
  2. Proven experience leading large-scale technology projects and teams.
  3. Strong experience with cloud computing, microservices architecture, data management, security protocols, and application integration.

Technical Skills:

  1. Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar.
  2. Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), networking, data architecture, and security.
  3. Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps, etc.).
  4. Proficient in architectural modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Visio, etc.).
  5. Java backend developments / associated frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Spring batch).
  6. REST API design and implementation.
  7. Microservices design and implementation.
  8. Continuous integration / continuous delivery using tools such as Jenkins, AzureDevOps.
  9. Event streaming (using Kafka would be appreciated).
  10. Docker containerization (using Rancher would be appreciated).
  11. Public cloud solutions (Azure, Google Cloud Platform would be appreciated).
  12. Fluency in English—verbal and written.
