Network EngineerImerys, the world’s leading supplier of mineral‑based specialty solutions, seeks a Network Engineer to be part of our Global Network & UC team. Imerys employs 17,500 employees worldwide and operates in more than 40 countries. The role involves managing cross‑regional projects that impact our global network and telecoms infrastructure.Job SummaryAs a Network & Security Engineer, you will work closely with the Network & UC manager, Infrastructure architect, project managers, business partners and providers. Your responsibilities include assessing, designing and deploying network solutions worldwide, and supporting daily operations across North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.ResponsibilitiesBuild activities (≈80%)Contribute to global projects that enhance network security and support business needs.Prepare detailed documentation for reuse by IT teams and stakeholders.Communicate effectively between business and technical teams.Help define and improve Imerys Global Network Policies.Participate in pre‑project assessment and design.Install, configure and maintain networking equipment (Cisco, Palo Alto, routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, etc.).Run activities (≈20%)Use ServiceNow for IT service and change management.Collaborate with help‑desk staff on network issues.Support multi‑site infrastructure, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution.Analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot complex hardware/software problems.Monitor system availability, performance, utilization, and security.Respond to network connectivity calls, pages, and emails.Perform network system backups and recovery.Apply patches and maintain network component inventory.Less frequentlyMaintain comprehensive network security posture.Recommend improvements to LAN/WAN infrastructure.Prepare and adhere to procedures for logging, reporting, and monitoring network data.Provide training and support to help‑desk staff.Assist in business continuity and disaster recovery planning.QualificationsUniversity degree in IT, telecommunications or related field.Fluent in English (spoken, written, read).Minimum 3 years experience in LAN/WAN networking.Knowledge of cloud networking, Cisco, Palo Alto Prisma, SD‑WAN, VoIP, UCAAS.Security knowledge: cloud security, firewalling, proxy, SASE, DDI, Linux, SDN.Technological and intellectual curiosity.Employment DetailsFull‑time, permanent. Location: St.-Cloud, Île‑de‑France, France (or other sites in the region).
