The hardware engineer will develop the equipment and instruments for an innovative medical device, enabling surgeries that were previously impossible. This product aims to help surgeons with an effective and precise technology and to give hope to patients worldwide.LOCATIONEMPLOYMENT TYPEPermanentWhat You’ll DoDefine requirements for mechanical and mecatronical components of the robotic platform, the instruments and accessories based on System requirementsDevelop and validate mock-ups, models and prototypes, identify and analyze technical solutions, by using CAD tools and 3D printingDevelop and fine-tune mechanical components, hardware, and instrumentsProduce specifications, drawings, parts lists and associate documentationInteract with development partners, prototype suppliers, component manufacturersParticipate in risk management activities, identify and treats Failure modes of critical componentsParticipate in verification activities (Protocols, Tests, and Reports)Ensure quality and compliance of his deliverables (design work and documentation)Ensure product quality and safety through compliance to standards like IEC 60601Participate in the industrialization of the product and transfer to productionParticipate in impact analyses of a Design ChangeSupport the Regulatory department for regulatory filesSupport the Quality department for investigating and addressing Quality issuesParticipate in continuous improvement of working methodologiesWho You areEngineering degree or Master’degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalentExtensive interest in mechanical, robotics and mechatronic systems5-7 years minimum experience in the design of machines and mechanical partsMechanical design and experience with CAD tools and 3D printingEnthusiasm and a strong desire to enhance surgical technology to improve the life of patientsA proactive personality with the ability to integrate with the existing start-up team.
