Our client is one of the leading players in the Telecoms software and services space and has a global headcount of around 30,000 people.

The Sales Director will pursue new businesses and grow existing businesses by developing and implementing sales strategy towards France Telecom and Orange, both in France and across group companies in Africa. Our client's software and services cover many areas such as BSS, CX, Marketing, Cloud migration, OSS, 5G Core, Charging, Policy, and Digital Transformation.

This is a sole contributor role that involves new business hunting and cross-selling primarily to FT and Orange, but it may also include SFR as another named account. The client is looking for a French speaker who can spend considerable amounts of time onsite with FT/Orange at their global headquarters.

The role involves:
  1. You will be a high-impact contributor responsible for building long-term partnerships with existing and new customers.
  2. Extend and develop positive relationships with key purchasing decision-makers, executive sponsors, coaches, and influencers; and others to extend the reach of my client.
  3. You will build out network growth and evolution plans with accountability for winning customer-valued network offerings.
  4. You will be a Problem Solver: be creative, innovative, think outside the box. Teach the customer something new and relevant to them. Help the customer to think differently/consider new or creative ways of solving the problem.
  5. You will act as the customer champion, constantly looking for improvement areas and ways to delight and retain through customer satisfaction.
  6. You will demonstrate value: understand the desired customer outcome and what this is worth to the customer.
We are looking for someone with:
  1. 10+ years of sales experience selling software or services to France Telecom/Orange (any of BSS, CX, PCRF, DPI, OSS, Service Assurance, Orchestration, Inventory, 5G slicing, etc.)
  2. Deep, demonstrable relationships at FT/Orange
  3. Proven track record in closing large and complex deals through the development and execution of sales strategies across different markets
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Telecommunications, networking industry (BSS, OSS, 4G/5G, Virtualisation/Cloud Services and Evolution)
  5. Excellent interpersonal communication, collaboration, and team building skills.
  6. Fluent English (verbal and written); proficiency in languages relevant to the accounts/region is preferable
  7. Executive-level communication and presenting skills
