Transforming the Future of Digital Payments
">We are looking for a talented Data Scientist to join our European region team and play a key role in shaping the future of digital payments. As a member of our client-facing Data Science Lab team, you will be accountable for developing and delivering analytics-driven strategies and solutions for our external clients in Europe.
">About the Role
">You will work collaboratively with VCA consultants and internal functions to promote insights-driven culture, creative and cutting-edge analytic solutions, and best practices to drive business performance. Your day will be split between delivering projects (coding/working with data) and discussing data requirements, managing internal and external meetings. You will be involved in the end-to-end process, from gathering client requirements to delivering actionable insights that enable our clients to make data-driven business decisions.
">Your Responsibilities

- Evangelize the creative use of data science to solve business problems with external clients">
- Work with VCA consultants to drive data science business development opportunities across key accounts to meet VCA revenue targets">
- Apply data science and predictive techniques to enhance client profitability across acquisition and retention">
- Create and deliver powerful business-centric insights from data through better visualization and storyboarding">
- Execution proficiency in handling multiple medium to large data science projects along with rest of the stakeholders in the project team">
- Execute on the analytic plans with appropriate data mining and statistical techniques">
- Enhance existing solutions and approaches by promoting new methodology and best practices in data science field">
- Provide subject matter expertise and quality assurance of complex data science projects">
- Familiarize yourself with new tools/software/techniques">
Requirements
">- ">
- Graduate/Post Graduate degree (Masters or Ph.Graduating in 2025)">
- Familiarity with modern distributed systems, including both Hadoop/SQL/MLP and Apache Spark etc.">
- Familiarity with one or more data analytics/programming tools such as Python">
- Knowledge of applying predictive modeling and machine learning technique to problems">

">We estimate the salary for this role to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
