SUMMARY
To perform this role as an Assembly and Test Technician at Core Lab Instruments, you will be responsible for aiding in the manufacture, service, and repair of the company's products in accordance with quality protocols specified by the Engineering Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with experienced technicians in the assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of products according to Engineering documentation and quality assurance protocols.
- Verify component part numbers and quantities versus Engineering Documentation before beginning manufacture to ensure material or instructional discrepancies do not occur.
- Initiate Engineering Change Orders for required material changes or other discrepancies such as incorrect BOMs, schematics, or drawings.
- Utilize work time efficiently and effectively, allocating labor hours into appropriate Work Order(s) to maximize Labor, Prorate, and minimize product cost.
- Assist with general maintenance of the physical facility as required.
- Maintain tools and workspace in a good, clean, and orderly condition and comply with all environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations.
- Assist other departments as deemed necessary by the CLI Manufacturing Supervisor.
- Coordinate with the CLI Manufacturing Supervisor to ensure urgent materials are expedited and expected to be received as scheduled.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or college to 1 year of experience in the industry is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to a manufacturing environment that includes but is not limited to: metal cutting and machining equipment, cutting fluids, metal shavings, and oil. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and there is a potential risk of electric shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
