Senior Relationship Manager

The Senior Relationship Manager will be responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining profitable multi-product relationships with clients and prospects in the Commodities and Food & Agri sector. This includes managing a portfolio of French existing and new sectorized corporates, working to grow profitable relationships with large corporates (CAC40/SBF120/family offices) active exclusively in Commodities, Food & Agri, in alignment with the strategic plan.
Key Tasks:
Develop long-term relationships with clients and prospects by leveraging and marketing the three ING differentiators: (i) Sector expertise by selling the full ING product range, (ii) distributing the International Network, and (iii) promoting Sustainability-linked transactions.
Ensure financial and non-financial risk management (including KYCs) on their client portfolio.
Grow a strategic dialogue with clients' decision-makers (CEO, CFO, Group Treasurer) and take active/lead roles as advisor or coordinator.
Originate and develop fee business in DCM, ECM, debt advisory, and M&A.
Requirements:
Business school/University master's degree (bac +5) in economics/finance, and/or CFA or equivalent academics.
Minimum 7 years of successful experience in Relationship Management/Front Office/origination roles.
Ability to prospect and originate with a differentiating mindset.
Experience in the Food & Agri sector is a must.
Deal/transaction experience and proven contribution to winning new business/new clients.
Understanding and knowledge of CIB products.
Credit analysis skills and knowledge; understanding of and adherence to credit and compliance processes.
Mastery of French and English is compulsory.
Commercial ease and ability to obtain commitment from others.
Natural ability to motivate and lead a team of various professionals around new client situations.
Highly effective team player.
Multi-tasking with flexibility and adaptability.
Proactive and solution-oriented.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Commodities and Food & Agri sector, as well as experience in relationship management and origination. They will be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects, and will have a proven track record of originating and developing fee business. The candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and will be able to work effectively in a team environment.
