At Worldline, a global leader in the fintech market, we're shaping the future of payments. As a Cloud Storage Systems Engineer, you'll be part of our team that anticipates the evolution of commerce worldwide.
We're looking for a person who will differentiate our company from its competitors. You'll join us on an exciting journey towards the next frontiers of payments technology, working with ambitious colleagues from around the world to make a real impact on society.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring that our services are designed, deployed, and operated at scale, with high availability and performance in mind. You'll work closely with our development teams to build and maintain the necessary infrastructure and tooling that underpins our platform's reliability.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop new shared services to improve our velocity and innovation
- Integrate community products into our ecosystem
- Develop your own tooling using scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby
- Collaborate and share knowledge with the team
- Support business lines to migrate their current solutions to our brand-new infrastructure using code, automation, and CI/CD
- Manage, innovate, and create Shared services and tooling that continuously improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of our platform
- Work cross-functionally to build fast, reliable, and resilient production systems
- Develop, configure, and enhance our automation stack and CI/CD pipelines
- Create documentation that every collaborator can use, improve, and share
What We Are Looking For:
- Academic or Bachelor's level of education or equivalent by experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Linux experience in a High Availability environment
- You're a self-starter, autonomous, and comfortable in development/programming skills
- You have excellent communication skills in English and can engage with both technical and non-technical staff at all levels in the organization
- You're a quick learner and able to make your way through complex automation stacks autonomously
- Automation is your answer to (almost) everything
- You're an open-source enthusiast and believe in Infrastructure as Code
- Targeting 0 support solution and self-healing systems is essential
- You're security-minded and able to find trade-offs between stability vs. agility, operational work vs. software engineering, and proactive vs. reactive work
Excellent knowledge of storage vendors' products (HPE, HDS, NetApp, PureStorage, etc.) and technical knowledge of block and file storage systems and SAN/FC and SAN/IP systems are must-haves.
The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
