Description of the Position

Job Title: Subsea Projects Engineer H/F

Contract: CDI

Roles and Responsibilities

MISSION:

• Responsible for delivering engineering deliverables related to structural designs, including proposals, specifications, reports, studies, R&D, installation procedures, and offshore follow-up.
When assigned to a project, involved in all phases of the project: Engineering, procurement, manufacture, fabrication, logistics, installation, and mechanical completion.

Description and Expected Outcome

Engineering Part:
Active adherence to and promotion of company HSE & quality policies and procedures
To perform structural analysis related to subsea installation topics:

  1. Seafastening of equipment on vessel deck
  2. Lifting of various assets (for instance well jumper with spreader bar)
  3. Specific design of installation aids (spreader bar, chute, boat landing, etc.)
  4. Vessel modifications (mezzanine deck, outriggers, etc.)

Develop/update calculation sheets based on offshore standards
Actively work with other technical functions within Bourbon (Crane Dept, ROV Dept, other affiliates) to ensure that cross-function interfaces are managed
Support tendering team on technical aspects
Attend kick-off meetings and regular (weekly, monthly) progress meetings as required
Examine the contract scope of work to ascertain project engineering work scope to be performed.
Review and approve structural engineering documentation produced by associate Engineers or subcontracted
To attend vessel mobilisation as mob engineer, checking seafastening is executed as per plan
To follow up fabrication process when required
Manage Graduate Trainees.

Project Management

Provide engineering support to the assigned Project in terms of reviewing calculations, document reviews, technical query management, interface management and general project engineering.
Oversee the technical aspects of the mobilization, demobilization, equipment fabrication and offshore work.
Reports to Lead Engineer.
Responsible for financial and technical success of area of project.
Assist in coordination of interfacing activities with subcontractors/vendors, clients and third parties throughout the project life cycle.
Ensure subcontractors/vendors adhere to the delivery schedule and cost.
Ensuring that subcontractor/vendor documentation is issued on schedule and in compliance to specification, scope of work and subcontract terms and conditions.
Evaluates tender proposals from subcontractors/vendors.
In support of the Procurement process, prepares Material Take-offs, scope of work, and assemble technical specifications and drawings.
Use and develop Lessons Learned across project and documents for internal or external use.
Provide continuous support to the offshore teams to ensure project knowledge is consistently available during the offshore installation.

Profile COMPETENCES

Master structural software like Ansys or equivalent.
Expertise in offshore standards related to structural analysis (AISC, API DNV, etc.).
Expertise in naval architecture.
