About The Role
About this opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Cost Management Specialist to join our team at Gleeds. As a member of our cost management team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality services and ensuring that cost management deliverables meet our clients' requirements.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
- Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that cost management deliverables meet Customers' requirements.
- Preparing and presenting order of cost estimates and option studies.
- Cost planning.
- Cost-in-use studies - study of the cost of building maintenance.
- Advising on and implementing procurement strategies.
- Preparing tender documentation and managing the tender process, including designing tender marking schemes.
- Preparing bids for services.
- Evaluating and reporting on tenders.
- Valuing completed work and arranging for payments.
- Settling final accounts.
- Providing technical advice on legal and contractual issues relating to construction projects.
- Administrating contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent.
- Producing and presenting reports to Customers.
- Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance

About You
Who we're looking for:
Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills
- Previous cost management experience in major real estate related construction projects.
- Knowledge of French construction regulation
- Practical knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
- Knowledge of contractual forms of engineering missions, project management assistance, project management and in particular the MOP law and the NFP 03.001
- Understanding of national legislation impacting on building contracts
- Clear and effective communication skills - both oral and written
- Methodical way of thinking and approach to work
- Organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments.
- Excellent problem, negotiating, finance and numeracy management skills
- Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Professional level of English and French
Qualifications
- Bac+2 to Bac+5, engineering school or equivalent
- Diploma in the field of Construction Economics
