We are looking for a Weight & Balance Engineer to join our Physical Architecture Department.
FLYING WHALES is an industrial adventure developing an air transport solution to support the economic development of landlocked regions and reduce the environmental footprint of cargo transport.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing physical installation studies of assigned systems, ensuring completeness of 3D systems, working on interface kinematics, performing clearance analysis, defining interface bonding criteria, checking for corrosion stresses, and defining system and component space allocations.
They will also support the WP Leaders on installation aspects, clarify and share installation operating rules, provide installed data for systems performances studies, and participate in the pre-sized 3D representation of certain orphan components.
Additionally, the Weight & Balance Engineer will manage weight, centering, and inertias, build and maintain the airship's weight, inertia, and center of gravity database, follow design evolutions and configurations, participate in weight trade-offs, and provide consolidated weights / centers of gravity / inertia to architects, FSIM, MVM, etc.
Requirements
- Education: Bac +5 engineering school (Aeronautic) or equivalent Master
- Previous Experiences: minimum 3 years of experience as physical integration engineer for an aircraft manufacturer or a system supplier, completed by a minimum of 2 years of experience in mass, centering, and inertias management for an aircraft manufacturer
