Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an intern in the Communication and Information Sector at UNESCO. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn and support the overall work of the Sector's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the preparation and review of project documents, including drafting notes and preparing technical annexes.
  • Prepare conceptual frameworks and concept notes on new areas of work or development challenges.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to support the production of documents, working papers, and conceptual frameworks.
  • Assist in the development of technical support for new interventions or projects.
  • Contribute to the preparation of knowledge and communication products, materials for advocacy and outreach, related to the area of work.
  • Participate in meetings and seminars to stay up-to-date on sector developments.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program (Master's degree, PhD, or equivalent) or have recently graduated with a Master's degree or PhD (or second degree as defined above).
  • Excellent command of English or French, with a working knowledge of the other language (English or French) an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer systems and office-related software.
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to an international working environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
