Regional Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead our growth strategy in Africa. As the Export Manager for our distributor sales team, you will be responsible for developing and managing our distributor network across the continent.
Key Responsibilities- Distributor Network Management: Develop and manage the distributor network across Africa, ensuring alignment with sales targets and strategic goals.
- Growth Strategy Execution: Create and implement short, mid, and long-term growth plans for the region in collaboration with Sales Leadership.
- Performance Evaluation: Regularly review and evaluate distributor performance, providing feedback and strategic guidance to drive improvements.
- Distributor Engagement: Maintain regular communication with distributors through visits, phone calls, and virtual meetings, ensuring they are motivated and well-supported.
- Sales Training: Encourage and facilitate distributor participation in sales training events, both online and in-person.
- Event Support: Support distributors in organizing local events, trade shows, and seminars, promoting new equipment and solutions.
- New Distributor Acquisition: Identify and onboard new distributors in collaboration with Sales Leadership to expand our market presence.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, training, after-sales, customer service, and logistics teams to ensure comprehensive support for distributors.
- Credit Collection: Monitor and manage the collection of due receivables from distributors.
- Proven experience in technical sales, with a focus on international markets, particularly Africa.
- Background in the welding industry is a plus but not required. Power Tools, Cutting, Grinding, and other similar product groups are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong negotiation skills with a talent for creating win-win situations.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and project management skills.
- Hands-on approach with a passion for uncovering and developing new business opportunities.
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Team player who can leverage the full capabilities of the portfolio.
- Fluent in English and French; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel frequently to meet distributors and end users.
