About the Role

The Orange Innovation team is seeking a highly motivated Research Engineer to contribute to the development of innovative solutions for next-generation wireless systems. The selected candidate will be part of a cutting-edge research team addressing key challenges in the context of 5G and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate waveform design and resource allocation strategies to optimize system performance in ISAC environments
  • Explore the potential of 5G New Radio (NR) reference signals for sensing, focusing on balancing tradeoffs between communication and sensing performance
  • Analyze resource allocation strategies that maximize efficiency, considering power and spectrum distribution between communication and sensing tasks

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a research-oriented field with a focus on wireless communications
  • Strong foundation in wireless communication, with knowledge of 5G New Radio (NR) being a plus
  • Familiarity with radar and sensing systems is also an advantage
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and C/C++ development skills
  • Good command of the English language

We are looking for a highly motivated and curious individual who can work independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in research and development is highly desirable.
