At Adobe, we're passionate about empowering people to create beautiful and powerful digital experiences. We're seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Substance 3D business area based in Clermont Ferrand or Lyons.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a talented Software Engineer with a good knowledge in software development to work on the desktop application Substance 3D Designer. This application is the reference for building procedural 3D materials for various industries such as Video Games, VFX, Industrial Design, Fashion, and Automotive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and craft new features in collaboration with other developers, UX designers, and product owners.
  • Take maintenance and testability into account during implementation. Write unit and functional tests.
  • Analyze and understand customer needs.
  • Investigate and fix bugs and performance issues.
  • Review code and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback during code reviews.
  • Participate in sprint planning.

Requirements

  • Good computer science fundamentals.
  • Good design, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good background in C++ and modern C++ (C++17).
  • Good understanding of object-oriented and functional programming principles.
  • Comfortable working with large products and codebases.
  • Ability to work in coordination with different teams.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and with honesty structured ideas.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and maintain a high degree of technical involvement.
