Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Downstream Processing Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, executing, and analyzing downstream processing experiences in our DSP pipeline. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and optimizing downstream processes for recombinant protein and molecule isolation, as well as developing and conducting analytical assays to characterize recombinant products and DSP efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute downstream processing experiences in our DSP pipeline
  • Develop and optimize downstream processes for recombinant protein and molecule isolation
  • Develop and conduct analytical assays to characterize recombinant products and DSP efficiency
  • Identify bottlenecks and redesign processes accordingly
  • Perform experiments at lab scale and conduct product characterization
  • Manage a rigorous lab notebook, write SOPs, and maintain logs of batches
  • Prepare and present results with statistical analyses, conclusions, and technical recommendations to your supervisors and the team
  • Contribute to IP generation
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Collaborate with external CMO and analytic partners
  • Perform literature searches when necessary and propose innovative solutions
  • Maintain equipment and laboratory inventory, consumables, and solutions
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in food, chemical, or biochemical engineering or biotechnology, or similar relevant tracks
  • Previous experience in a lab working on DSP, ideally with similar responsibilities
  • Experience with DOE, data visualization, and analysis
  • Hands-on experience with DSP units, technology transfer, and scale-up
  • Proficient in English, ideally with some French
