At AWS EMEA SARL (France Branch), we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Cloud Solutions Engineer - Energy Industry. This role will play a crucial part in helping our customers accelerate the global energy transition by leveraging AWS' leading cloud services.

About the Role:

This position is responsible for working with customer line of business owners to solve their biggest business problems and help them attain new levels of performance. You will leverage AWS' robust suite of products and services to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address business problems and accelerate the customer cloud journey.

You will adeptly interact, communicate, and partner with other teams at AWS, including product, marketing, and professional services, and represent your team to executive management. A key aspect of this role is to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges, and have the ability to link technology to tangible solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the technical relationship with customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, operational efficiency, and best-practice architectures.
  • Acting as an advocate on behalf of the customer to help drive continual improvements to the AWS platform, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features and services.
  • Helping shape the future of the Solutions Architecture organisation by hiring, coaching, and mentoring others.
  • Defining or inventing cloud-native reference architectures with the worldwide AWS Solutions Architect community.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field of study, or 8+ years of professional or military relevant work experience. Additionally, you must have 8+ years of experience within specific technology domain areas, such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, and data and analytics.

A strong passion for developing solutions and applying them to drive business value is essential, along with excellent written and verbal communications skills, both in English and French. Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients, is also required.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is between €80,000 and €120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
