About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sustainability Manager to join our team at Essity. As a key member of our Professional Hygiene Business Unit, you will be responsible for leading our sustainability efforts and developing strategies to reduce our environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies aligned with Essity's targets and ambitions
  • Lead a team of professionals in executing sustainability initiatives and projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and integrated approach
  • Drive the sustainability agenda from a product perspective in Sustainability forums
  • Build competence and guide product management teams regarding sustainability tasks
  • Support communication of sustainability projects and activities
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and integrated approach
Requirements
  • Higher education (at least a bachelor's degree)
  • +5 years' experience in sustainability roles
  • Couple of years of leadership experience
  • Relevant (ideally B2B) business understanding
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in sustainability management, including third party certifications, sustainability communication, product sustainability assessments and corporate reporting
