About the position:
As a Pressure Vessels Engineer Lead, you will be in charge of equipment like columns, reactors, drums, separators, heat exchangers, air coolers, cold boxes, storage tanks, filters, silencers, etc...
Part of the Equipment Department within the onshore-offshore engineering division, you will mainly be in charge of:
- Design and calculation of pressure vessels
- Analysis of technical specifications
- Issue of technical specifications, mechanical data sheets, and requisitions for inquiry and for purchase
- Clarifications and technical bid evaluations of vendor bids
- Vendor technical follow-up
- Review and comments of vendor drawings, technical meetings
- Attend to vendor workshop tests
- Respect of the budget and of the planning
- Coordination of Pressure Vessels engineers on the project
- Follow-up of the subcontracting
- Quality of the technical documentation issued by the discipline on the project
- Approval of technical specifications issued by the other engineers
- Reply to Client's requests
- Tutoring of junior engineers
You will work in close collaboration with other services (Installation, Process, Heat Transfer, Material, Civil, etc... but also Purchasing, Expediting, Inspection) to centralize requests, clarify needs, analyze suppliers' specific deviations, and solve technical problems.
You will be the focal point of the Client for the discipline.
About you:
- You are a Graduate Engineer with Mechanical knowledge, with a minimum of 8 years' experience in Equipment within oil & gas or industrial field.
- You have know-how of pressure vessels design codes, and more particularly ASME VIII div 1.
- You have the know-how of equipment requisitioning process and of specifications redaction.
- You have experience of designing pressure vessels with software like AutoPipe Vessels, Compress, or PV Elite...
- Organized, good communication, decision-making, execution-oriented will be the strengths needed to succeed in this position. Moreover, you will be able to adapt and evolve with ease to various key actors in project with different cultures.
- Fluency in English and French required.
- You are mobile for trips in France and abroad.
