About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at Newrest. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage maintenance schedules and budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Develop and implement maintenance request procedures to minimize downtime.
  • Issue job cards and track progress to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working order.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activity and report to management as required.
  • Supervise routine preventative maintenance, unplanned remedial, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance requirements.
  • Order and maintain inventory of site supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure all facilities, equipment, and municipal components are well-maintained and report any issues to management.
  • Prepare and submit various reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Develop and maintain a contractor database and manage the full process of start to completion of contractors on site.
  • Make recommendations for continual improvement and support improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all safety rules and procedures are followed and report any hazards or near misses to management.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Diploma in Engineering or related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High energy, positive, enthusiastic, results-oriented
  • Technically competent in Computers, Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Preventive Maintenance, Design and Troubleshooting
  • Project management and prioritizing
  • Preparing work schedules
  • Recording and reporting
  • Conducting organizational and administrative duties
  • Communicating effectively in written and oral form
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar field
