- Maintain a thorough knowledge of textiles and their proper care.
- Operate laundry equipment with precision, care, and maintenance.
- Handle and store chemicals with caution, following health and safety regulations.
- Report any damage or malfunctioning in laundry equipment or operations to superiors.
- Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the working area and stores.
- Handle lost and found items with care.
- Participate in monthly inventories and daily checklists.
- Adhere to Rixos telephone etiquette standards.
- Report guest comments and complaints.
- Respect schedules, terms, and deadlines as agreed with management.
- Complete laundry Logbooks and reports accurately.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding techniques.
- Familiarity with different fabric types and their specific care requirements.
- Attention to detail to inspect laundered items thoroughly.
- Efficiency and time management skills to handle high volumes of laundry.
- Physical stamina to perform extended periods of standing, lifting, and carrying heavy laundry.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues.
- Safety and hygiene compliance to maintain a safe working environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing circumstances and unexpected challenges.
- Prior experience in a luxury hotel environment is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- Eligibility to live and work in Kenya.
