Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled PhD researcher to join our team at Airbus, a leading global company in the field of digital innovation, research, and development.

The successful candidate will be working on a PhD project titled 'Thesis on Organic Matrix Composite Materials (h/f)' at the Centre de Recherche et Technologies (CRT) in Pessac, with regular visits to Airbus facilities in Nantes and Toulouse.

The project aims to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for the production of carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP) with reduced environmental impact, improved performance, and enhanced safety.

The researcher will be responsible for:

  • Conducting a thorough literature review on the current state of the art in CFRP production and characterization.
  • Developing and optimizing the parameters of the carbonization process.
  • Characterizing the mechanical and physical properties of the resulting fibers and composites.
  • Collaborating with the research team to develop and implement new experimental and modeling techniques.
  • Presenting regular progress reports and contributing to the development of the project.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science, polymer engineering, or a related field, with excellent knowledge of experimental and modeling techniques, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills.

The working language is French, with advanced English skills required.
