About the Role:
This exciting opportunity has arisen due to the firm's expansion and strategic succession planning. Reporting directly to the Director, you will be instrumental in propelling the firm's insolvency and restructuring practice in the Caribbean market. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing complex insolvency and restructuring projects.
- Developing and mentoring a team of professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous growth.
- Identifying market opportunities and proactively expanding the business.
- Overseeing multi-jurisdictional cases with an emphasis on contentious and cross-border issues.
- Engaging in hands-on court-driven insolvency processes, with significant motion practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as the primary support to the Director, with the potential for succession into the lead role.
- Leading high-profile insolvency cases, often with an international dimension.
- Driving business development through client engagement, market insights, and networking.
- Managing a team and fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Extensive experience in insolvency and restructuring, particularly in cross-border contexts.
- A strong entrepreneurial spirit with a proven track record of identifying and cultivating business opportunities.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in insolvency within a professional environment, with experience in leading teams and projects.
- Familiarity with cross-border offshore appointments.
- JIEB qualification (or equivalent) is preferred.
