About the Job

As a key member of our engineering team at Scaleway SAS, you will play a crucial role in creating the conditions for our teams to focus on building a cloud that makes sense. We are constantly searching for talented engineering management professionals to join our team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of engineers, focusing on creating a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Balance managerial and technical roles, working closely with Product Managers and Marketing teams to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Monitor and optimize team velocity and capacity to deliver quality products and services on time.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams, working closely with our local Architect to deploy internal stacks and ensure global engineering initiatives are used within our product process and stack.
  • Stay grounded by coding as a "doer" with your team, working on transversal initiatives within Scaleway's Engineering Manager Guild.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in Agile methods and Scrum.
  • Technical skills in cloud environments, databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Python, GoLang, DCS Systems, Container Technologies, Ansible, Linux System & Network knowledge, Gitlab, CI-CD, Micro-Services architectures, Scripting, Jira, Confluence, Slack.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, with strong empathy and a result-oriented attitude.
  • Open-minded and ready to adapt quickly, with a facilitator mindset and DevOps skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Solid knowledge of cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Alicloud or GCP).
Location

This position is based in our offices in Paris or Lille, France.
