The Petrochemical Pole of Berre is a major industrial complex that covers nearly 1,000 hectares in the south of France. This site includes a steam cracker and world-class Polypropylene and Polyethylene units, producing a wide range of polyolefins with numerous domestic and industrial applications.

We are seeking a Senior Sourcing Specialist (F/M) to join our team at the Berre site. The purpose of this role is to create value by providing input into the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, function/business-specific agreements, and related work processes in accordance with the global strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the sourcing process and effectively source segments and/or commodities with increasing complexity and medium value.
  • Understand strategies for assigned segments or commodities and proactively drive initiatives to meet sourcing objectives.
  • Own Sourcing events and Contracts up to a level of 10mil Euro, ensuring high ethical and financial control compliance standards are met.
  • Support Category Manager to drive external ASP (Advance Supplier Potential) and internal ACP (Advance Competiveness Potential) initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in sciences or engineering (Technical Degree) or comparable technical degrees.
  • 3+ years of work experience in the area of purchasing, maintenance, engineering, or project execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP and ARIBA-skills.
  • Knowledge to create 7-step sourcing strategies (Kearney method) and Should Cost Model (Anklesaria).
  • French fluent and English business fluent.
  • A third European language a plus.
