As a Mechanical Engineer II at T.D. Williamson, you will play a key role in the development and customization of our products and services solutions for customer applications. This position requires a strong focus on material of construction for all product lines across the global engineering organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary duties include:
- Designing products (equipment and consumables) and improving existing technologies, considering manufacturability, costs, and quality expectations.
- Verifying and/or applying customer/input requirements to engineering / design activity/output.
- Performing and documenting engineering activities, such as concepts, product design or improvements, calculation notes, design activities, prototypes, CE documentation, manuals, failure analysis, corrective actions, and obsolescence.
- Leading components, assemblies, and products CAD design activities (3D models, drawings).
- Providing technical support and communications to other internal departments, as well as to suppliers, partners, and customers.
- Reporting progresses, difficulties, risks, and needs to the Engineering Manager.
- FOLLOWING established processes and proactively supporting and/or facilitating changes in the department in a continuous improvement logic.
- Supporting internal and external products presentations.
- Keeping the ERP (AX) database up to date, creating, and updating product Part Numbers.
- Performing and/or leading validation test activities and creating test reports.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Design.
- 5 years' experience in an engineering environment required.
- Significant experience in Engineering problems solving.
- Proficient in CAD software for 3D models, drawings (Solidworks preferred).
- Experience in plastics parts manufacturing and machining would be preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficient in CAD software for 3D models, drawings (Solidworks preferred).
- Experience in plastics parts manufacturing and machining would be preferred.
- Microsoft Office Pack professional skills.
- Knowledge of PLM software (Team center, Intralink, Solidworks PLM).
- Machine design experience preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
- Capacity and willingness to work in an international environment.
- Ready to accept business trips (15%).
