About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Communications and PR Manager to join our team at DAZN, a leading sports media company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering our external communications and PR strategy in France.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute PR Strategy: Support the France CEO to establish and continuously evolve our PR strategy in France, focusing on consumer communications with some corporate communications.
  • Media Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with local, national, and regional media outlets, identifying opportunities for media coverage and pitching stories to key media contacts.
  • Content Creation: Research and write media releases, statements, press materials, press kits, presentations, and briefing materials for spokespeople, ensuring a strong narrative and compelling storytelling.
  • Event Planning: Plan and implement press conferences, speaker opportunities, and media hosting events, showcasing our brand and expertise in the sports industry.
  • Agency Management: Manage PR agencies and other related agencies, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of key objectives.
  • Crisis Management: Manage crisis and issues with key stakeholders, providing timely and effective communication to mitigate risks and maintain a positive reputation.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor, track, and report on our own PR activities as well as the competitive landscape, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Excellent Sports Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of the sports industry, news sense, and editorial planning.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience working with agencies, internal teams, and executive-level stakeholders, with a strong track record of delivering successful PR campaigns.
  • Cultural Knowledge: Experience across press, sport, showbiz, political, and cultural circles in France, with a strong network of contacts and relationships.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in French and outstanding written and spoken English, with excellent presentation skills.
  • Industry Expertise: Proven ability to measure performance against audience targets and analyze competitors, with a strong understanding of the sports media landscape.
  • Collaboration and Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative international environment with a unique culture, balancing global strategy and local market needs.
  • Education and Experience: 4-8 years of PR and Communications experience, with a strong educational background in a relevant field.
