Job Title: Simops Operating Authority Representative
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Simops Operating Authority Representative to join our team at SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC in Doha, Qatar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full implementation of the SimOps Dossier during execution of works.
- Monitor and control all drilling/construction activities, oil and gas production, and utility systems in the SimOps area to ensure safe and efficient works while production targets are achieved.
- Identify procedures and precautions to be taken to provide a safe place for intended activities.
- Assist the Operating Authority and review NOC PTWs in the SimOps area.
- Participate in Permit To Work meetings related to activities in the SimOps area.
- Ensure the PTW register is updated by all parties requesting works under the NOC PTW system.
- Perform ultimate coordination of works to avoid interference in the SimOps area and notify the Operating Authority of any conflicts.
- Ensure precautions required from all disciplines are implemented prior to starting works.
- Participate in Tool Box Talks for critical activities related to the assigned area.
- Ensure correct opening, suspension, and cancellation of Permits To Work.
- Ensure adequate handover of ongoing tasks takes place at shift or crew change and information is transferred as required between all shifts working in the SimOps area.
- Communicate daily with HSE-SA & HSE-SA-D (if nominated) all activities conducted under NOC PTW.
- Report daily the SimOps activity to OTL and issue a daily written SimOps report.
- Contribute to updates the SimOps follow-up dossier as required with the HSE Supervisor.
- Communicate and inform CCR about job progress and any problems encountered.
Requirements:
- Minimum Higher Secondary School Education plus a three-year technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years offshore level on-field equipment in diversified oil & gas processing or petrochemical plants.
- Fluency in English with both written and verbal communication.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
