Job Description

Fugro is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to assist Senior Geotechnical Engineers with site characterisation for structures in or on the seabed. This involves providing high-quality soil characterisation under demanding conditions. The role involves offshore fieldwork, data analysis, and report writing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in offshore fieldwork on geotechnical vessels.
  • Process and interpret in-situ tests, describe and test soil and/or rock samples.
  • Manage the work around acquiring, analysing and engineering geotechnical data.
  • Provide geotechnical advice and support to clients.
  • Evaluate test results, perform engineering analyses and compile reports.

Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Geology.
  • Minimum two years of relevant working experience.
  • Excellent communication and language skills in English.
  • Knowledge of soil investigation, soil mechanics and foundation engineering.
