Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Carbon Specialist to join our Nature Based Solutions (NBS) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing strategic plans for carbon credit production
- Ensuring technical and regulatory compliance with industry standards
- Liaising with stakeholders to build a balanced portfolio of activities
- Conducting technical studies for project development and operations
- Maintaining strong relationships with local communities and economic value chains
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A PhD/Master's degree/Engineering degree in environment, forestry, agriculture, conservation, or a related field
- 10-15 years' experience in forest and/or agricultural carbon projects
- Understanding of the voluntary carbon market, carbon certification standards, and international frameworks
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Fluency in English, with French, Spanish, or Portuguese an asset
