Senior Data Scientist, AWS Generative AI Innovation Center

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our AWS Generative AI Innovation Center team. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with AI/ML scientists, engineers, and architects to research, design, develop, and evaluate cutting-edge generative AI algorithms to address real-world challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement generative AI solutions for customers.
  2. Design and develop experiments to research and evaluate new generative AI algorithms.
  3. Provide technical guidance and support to customers on the adoption and implementation of generative AI solutions.
  4. Develop and deliver training and educational materials to customers and internal stakeholders on generative AI best practices.

About the Team

The AWS Generative AI Innovation Center team is responsible for helping customers imagine and scope the use cases that will create the greatest value for their businesses. We provide guidance on best practices for applying generative AI responsibly and cost efficiently.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  2. Several years of experience building models for business applications.
  3. Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing, neural deep learning methods, and/or machine learning.
  4. Hands-on experience building models with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or MXNet.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. PhD or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  2. Practical experience in solving complex problems in an applied environment.
  3. Hands-on experience building models with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
  4. Prior experience in training and fine-tuning of Large Language Models (LLMs).
  5. Knowledge of AWS platform and tools.
