Are you looking for a challenging role that combines contract management with engineering expertise? Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. has an exciting opportunity for a Contract Management Specialist in Orsay, France.
The Contract Management Specialist will support the execution of customer and vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with Company Contract Management policies, standards, and procedures. This role involves building strong relationships with critical external partners/customers and internal project teams.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managin a set of active contracts and related activities in accordance with the contract management process and relevant policies.
- Serving as the customer/vendor contracts subject matter expert for projects, supporting project managers by leading interface between project and customer/vendor contract managers.
- Providing support for developing a detailed summary and training after signing of contracts to summarize all relevant commercial terms and conditions and project impacts.
- Monitoring performance of obligations contained within the contract in accordance with the terms and conditions and/or Master Service Agreement (MSA) provisions.
- Preparing customer notifications, drafting contract documents, change requests, and formal change orders. Updating contract files as needed.
- Maintaining comprehensive and detailed records of key events, decisions, and notifications.
- Providing commercial expertise in support of new business development and offer negotiation.
- Supporting coordination with Supply Chain to identify key terms and conditions, obligations, and critical dates for supplier contract monitoring and management.
- Driving contract close-out activities at the conclusion of the contract term/project completion, including validation and acceptance of all commercial obligations defined within the contract.
- Providing support in the management of any remaining contractual obligations such as warranties or other services, and formal contract closeout.
- Supporting Global Contracting and Sales with project contract execution expectations for future project opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related degree or equivalent work experience. MS/MBA/JD preferred. Contract Management Certification desired.
- Minimum of 5 years of related and recent work experience in contract management/project management positions. A preference of 3 years of experience directly managing engineering/industrial contracts.
- A variety of experience including both public and private sectors.
- Ability to interact with and present to senior management (internally and externally).
- Experience with varying contract types: fixed-price, cost, cost-reimbursable, time and material, and incentive type contracts is required.
- Demonstrated experience in drafting, effective writing.
- Team player with well-developed communication skills and the ability to interface with multiple levels of operation.
- Creative problem solver with a strong drive for project success.
- Technically proficient with typical office software. Advanced proficiency in ERP systems a plus.
- Negotiation skills to lead commercial contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, and teaming partners.
