Job Title: Intellectual Property Rights Manager

We are seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Rights Manager to join our team at Hitachi Vantara Corporation. As an Intellectual Property Rights Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the expansion of our Intellectual Property activities in the Europe Region. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and reviewing patent application drafts, participating in patent examination processes, and searching patent databases for consultations and competition monitoring. You will also animate the network of Patent Partners with R&D teams and work closely with inventors, R&D, and CLO teams to ensure seamless collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of patent applications, including attending meetings for launching drafting and reviewing patent application drafts.
  • Searching in patent databases, gathering requirements for patent searches, and proposing and enacting a search strategy.
  • Patent partners, proposing and preparing patent information items for Patent Partners and fostering contact and gathering needs and questions.

Requirements
  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledge of automotive braking technology.
  • Basic understanding of patent law.
  • Analytical mindset to perform legal reasoning.

Qualification & Experience
  • Engineer Bac+5.
  • First technical and/or legal experience in the automotive field.
