About the Role

Vestas is a leading international company in the wind energy industry, committed to respecting the environment. We are seeking a skilled Blades Technician to join our team in the MED region, specifically in the Service department, where you will be responsible for blade repair and main component repair up to tower level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and oversee blade maintenance processes to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Inspect and assess the operational level of blades to identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including hours tracking, working conditions monitoring, and operational reporting.
  • Act in accordance with safety rules and quality procedures related to blade maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory procedures and service level agreements.
  • Develop and implement on-site repairs using technical expertise and internal maintenance procedures, with a focus on composite material repair and wind turbine maintenance.

Requirements

  • BTEC Higher National Diploma, BTS/DUT industrial or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering certification, preferably BZEE certified.
  • First professional experience as a composite material technician and/or wind turbine maintenance technician.
  • Strong knowledge of technical English (written/spoken) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Competencies

  • Experience working with composite materials.
  • Wind turbine maintenance experience as a Service or Construction technician in Vestas or non-Vestas turbines.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Technical English proficiency.
  • Comfort working remotely in a turbine environment with limited supervisory interaction.
