Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Packaging Systems and Data Manager to join our team at Coty. This role will be responsible for ensuring that our packaging processes, procedures, and systems are properly used as designed and implemented.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to the businesses on the appropriate use and governance of our systems, auditing the correct usage of systems and processes.
  • Ensure that process designs are appropriate, including correct business requirements.
  • Support the deployment of new policies, standards, and procedures required for potential new business processes related to our systems.
  • Function as a point of escalation within the business or between the business and system support teams.
  • Interface with Master Data, IT, and COE.
  • Manage external service partners.

Data and System Management:

  • Run metric reports to audit system usage, informing areas for more training or enhancement.
  • Audit data to ensure complete and correct usage of SAP RD.
  • Run first-level data extracts from SAP RD to support regulatory/sustainability/tax reporting.
  • Highlight data issues with key user groups and coordinate mass changes.
  • Coordinate user testing for any system/data changes.
  • Author business scenario-based test scripts as needed.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to manage enhancement list content and priorities, IT review, and validation of changes to ensure business continuity, engaging key users as needed.
  • Create documentation/communication for users on any system changes.
  • Serve as a point of contact for the user community to escalate Service Now tickets.

Internal and External User Administration and Collaboration:

  • Approve new user setup, ensuring correct roles are assigned to users.
  • Ensure new users are trained and training materials/job aids are updated to match current system design.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for the SAP Security team for roll change approvals.
  • Maintain user lists to identify and remove inactive users.
  • Maintain Outlook distribution lists for SAP RD users and keep them in sync with SAP RD User Lists.
  • Manage SAP RD User Groups, ensuring representation for necessary functions/geographies.
  • Organize monthly meetings of user groups with IT R&D COE and Business Facing teams to review topics and provide updates.
  • Manage SAP RD Workplace Groups to foster collaboration/communication with the user community.

External Service Partners (Infosys Support Team Coordination):

  • Manage and approve resource allocation.
  • Manage PO issuance and approve monthly invoices.
  • Approve data entry and extract automation (macros) via Infosys.
  • Coordinate data transformation projects to meet legal requirements, minimizing fines from international authorities/partners (e.g., sustainability tab, pack weight).
  • Proof of Concept (POC) for Infosys developers to our internal teams (IT, Accenture).
  • Review and sign SOP & Risk Governance for Infosys.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in technical specification data management in a fast-moving consumer goods packaging environment.
  • Experience in the fragrance & cosmetics industry is a plus.
  • Additional experience managing data entry systems, IT, is a plus.
  • Well-organized and able to work on and tackle a variety of different projects at any time.
  • Excellent communication skills, with direct contact with over 70 R&D packagers, and more SC packagers, external suppliers, external resources, etc.
  • First experience in project management and project coordination.
  • Fluent English is mandatory.
  • Ability to work with different database systems: SAP, and other databases.
  • Academic qualifications: Packaging or IT degree (Data management/Data analysis).
