Insulation and Coatings Specialist

Altrad is seeking a skilled Insulation and Coatings Inspector to join our team in Grangemouth. As a critical member of our infrastructure, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of millions by providing value-added solutions in support of the nation's vital assets.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with Engineering and Production personnel, Clients' Inspectors, and other discipline inspectors to ensure coatings are carried out in accordance with specifications and project requirements.
- Ensure coatings are performed by qualified Painters in accordance with approved procedures and site coating instruction sheets.
- Carry out coating procedures, production tests, and general parameter monitoring using methods and equipment directed by the Project.
- Perform surveillance as required by Quality Control/Inspection and Test Plans, documenting all inspections on appropriate formats.
- Monitor materials usage and traceability to ensure the right material is being utilised.
- Verify correct installation of work, inspect and witness tests as required, and sign relevant Test/Inspection/Completion Certificates/Records.
- Prioritize quality issues and bring to management attention deficiencies outside your workscope.
- Document deficiencies through the NCR procedure and follow up on closing out such situations.
Minimum requirements include ICORR or NACE level 2, previous experience in inspection and Quality Control reporting, Safety and Environment certificate or CCNSG Safety Passport or equivalent safety training certification.
BenefitsNAECI rates of pay with a £2.37 2nd tier bonus during the TAR window and £1 all other times, 6 days working 57 hours per week.
