Job Summary: Pyramid Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our client, a global consultancy firm, on exciting projects in Europe within the insurance domain. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy travel and have a strong background in network design, development, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure to ensure high-performance and reliability.
- Provide 3rd-level support for LAN/WAN issues and troubleshooting, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
- Manage network monitoring, reporting systems, and documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Configure and install routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other network devices to ensure secure and efficient network operations.
- Perform network maintenance, upgrades, and security configurations to prevent security breaches and ensure system integrity.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to identify areas for improvement and optimize network resources.
- Implement security tools and procedures in collaboration with the security team to ensure robust security measures.
- Ensure change management compliance and coordinate with vendors for issue resolution to minimize disruptions.
- Participate in on-call support for non-business hours to ensure 24/7 system availability.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of network experience, with a strong background in network design, development, and maintenance.
- CCNP certification required.
- Strong skills in troubleshooting network issues, including LAN/WAN, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VLAN, etc.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Firepower, Silver Peak SDWAN, and Cisco ISE.
- Familiarity with Next-Gen Firewalls, Cisco ASA, IPS, and wireless technologies (Cisco WLC).
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data centre environments (Nexus, ACI).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and customer interaction skills.
- BA or BS Degree required.
