At Proofpoint, we're committed to protecting our customers' greatest assets and biggest risks: vulnerabilities in people. As a Business Development Representative, you'll play a critical role in generating qualified sales opportunities for our Field sales team.

You'll work closely with regional sales and marketing teams to develop a deep understanding of your assigned accounts. Using this intelligence, you'll connect our sales team with influencers and decision makers within the prospect accounts and across all vertical markets.

As a key member of our Business Development team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Qualifying and developing inbound and outbound sales accepted leads
  • Gathering actionable intelligence for your assigned accounts
  • Following up on leads generated by marketing and converting initial interest into sales accepted leads
  • Managing email campaigns to generate new sales prospects
  • Managing cold-calling telephone-based campaigns to generate new sales prospects
  • Completing accurate tracking of communication with current and potential customers in Salesforce.com
  • Scheduling demonstrations between Enterprise Sales team members and potential customers

We're looking for a highly motivated individual with a competitive personality, excellent phone and interpersonal communication skills, and organizational skills. Previous experience working with Salesforce.com or other CRM is a plus. Fluency in French and English is required.
