Marketing & Communication Advisor

Full-time position

Established in 2017 by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, the House of Startups (HoST) aims to be a pivotal player in the startup and innovation landscape of Luxembourg. Its core mission is to unite, advocate for, and bolster the startup community while promoting collaborative innovation among businesses and organizations.

HoST operates as an innovation campus spanning nearly 6,000 square meters, fostering a vibrant community of diverse stakeholders. It houses several pioneering startup hubs, including the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT), the Luxembourg-City Incubator (LCI), Le Village by CA. Luxembourg, and the International Climate Finance Accelerator (ICFA Luxembourg). Currently, it accommodates around 170 startups in the city center.

Key Responsibilities:

As a vital member of the HoST team, you will play a significant role in advancing its mission to unite and promote the startup ecosystem in Luxembourg. We seek a seasoned communicator who possesses creativity and diplomacy, with the ability to achieve key performance indicators while remaining flexible to seize emerging opportunities.

Your specific tasks will include:

  • Establishing HoST as the primary innovation hub within Luxembourg's dynamic startup landscape.
  • Designing, planning, and executing events that embody HoST's values and objectives, fostering direct engagement with the audience.
  • Contributing to the development of a corporate communication strategy that aligns with HoST's overarching goals.
  • Leading or assisting in the communication and promotion of both internal and external initiatives that resonate with HoST's mission.
  • Ensuring effective communication across HoST's various channels and platforms, including social media and the website.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with current and prospective partners within Luxembourg's startup ecosystem.
  • Creating and managing engaging audiovisual content while ensuring strategic content planning and consistency.
  • Representing HoST at various ecosystem events and generating opportunities to enhance the national Startup & Innovation ecosystem.

Candidate Profile and Required Skills:

  • A BTS, bachelor's, or master's degree in Communication, Hospitality, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in communication, marketing, hospitality, or event management, ideally with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Adaptability and comfort in a fast-paced environment, coupled with a genuine interest in the growth and success of Luxembourg's startup ecosystem.
  • A passion for planning and executing impactful events that align with organizational goals.
  • A solid understanding of the startup mindset and familiarity with Luxembourg and European startup ecosystems, along with the missions of the Chamber of Commerce.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and comfort in collaborating within cross-functional project teams.
  • A true team player with outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, familiarity with CRM systems, and adaptability to new technologies.

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools for content creation and editing.
  • Ability to leverage data-driven insights to develop and optimize marketing strategies for improved campaign performance.
  • A creative approach to branding, visual identity, and content creation.
