Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer, Systems Architect to join our team at Meetic. As the European leader in dating services, we operate in 21 countries and have created over 8 million couples. Our teams develop products with a strong social impact, focusing on user experience, innovation, and sustainability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing applications that implement the business logic of Meetic and Match apps, manipulating and producing user and business data, and exposing APIs to frontend applications. They will also implement unit and functional tests to ensure long-term software quality and contribute to the development and maintenance of tools necessary for building and deploying backend applications.

In this role, you will work closely with our US tech team to build a technical international platform addressing multiple challenges, including setting up a state-of-the-art resilient architecture, solving complex scaling questions, and creating new features. You will define short and long-term strategies and hire a team based in Paris.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Developing applications that implement the business logic of Meetic and Match apps.
  • Implementing unit and functional tests to ensure long-term software quality.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of tools necessary for building and deploying backend applications.
  • Defining short and long-term strategies.
  • Hiring a team based in Paris.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • A degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
  • A strong background in developing applications at scale, with at least 2-3 years of experience in C# and .Net development.
  • Experience working in systems where robustness, scalability, performance, and innovation are key.
  • Experience with distributed systems.
  • Ability to produce high-quality code thoroughly tested and maintainable by the entire team.
  • Familiarity with the Clean Code philosophy and ability to apply it in your work every day.
  • Autonomy and responsibility for developments from start to finish: implementation, testing, continuous improvement of application architecture, and production release.

Hiring Process

The hiring process includes a first 30-min Zoom call, a 90-min Zoom technical interview, and a final 60-min onsite interview.
